The latest Smashing Pumpkins drummer is no longer a part of Billy Corgan's frequently shifting lineup of supporting players.
Corgan tells Music Radar that "like Elvis," Mike Byrne has "left the building." The Pumpkins leader didn't offer any other details about Byrne's exit, only confirming the previously reported news that Motley Crue's Tommy Lee is the drummer on the band's upcoming album, Monuments to an Elegy.
Byrne first joined the Smashing Pumpkins in 2010 at just 19-years-old. He played on their multi-EP project Teargarden by Kaleidyscope and the 2012 album Oceania.
